This week’s awards go to Los Angeles, Kawhi Leonard and Milwaukee’s Bobby Portis.

Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Bobby Portis Jr. of the Milwaukee Bucks have been selected the NBA’s Players of the Week for Week 25.

LA Clippers SF, Kawhi Leonard

This is Leonar’s eighth Player of the Week honor, and his second since joining the Clippers. Leonard led the Clippers to a perfect 3-0 week, averaging 25.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists on 49.1 percent shooting from the field, 38.1 percent from deep, and 84.2 percent from the charity stripe.

On April 5 against the L.A Lakers, the seven-time NBA All-Defensive team member scored 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists, and became the first player in NBA history to reach the 4,000-rebound plateau in his career.

Leonard scored 25 points, grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds, and dished out a season-high six assists in 36 minutes on April 9 at Phoenix. Among players who averaged at least 20 points per game this season, Leonard was one of only two who shot better than 50% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.

Milwaukee Bucks PF, Bobby Portis Jr.

Portis Jr. earns his first Player of the Week award for his efforts this week.

Portis Jr. averaged 20.7 points and its 12.3 rebounds in the regular season’s last week, while shooting 44.7% from the field and 59.1% from deep. On Tuesday, he led the Bucks to victory over the Wizards with 19 points and 20 rebounds.

On Wednesday, he helped the team secure the Eastern Conference’s top seed with 27 points, a season-high six 3-pointers, and 13 boards as the Bucks defeated the Bulls. Bobby’s 20 rebounds on Tuesday and 27 points on last week were both his second-highest marks of the season.

Also, his five three-pointers on Tuesday and six three-pointers on Wednesday were the first time in his career that he made five or more three-pointers in consecutive games. Have you seen the last week mvp?
