FBI agents arrested the 27-year-old Comanche over the weekend in connection with the mysterious disappearance of 23-year-old Marayna Rodgers, a Washington medical assistant in Las Vegas. He was taken into custody and initially charged with first-degree kidnapping, but these charges are now being elevated to murder. Las Vegas Police have confirmed the discovery of Rodgers’ body in the Nevada desert.

Both Comanche and his girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, are now facing open murder charges, according to reports from The New York Post. Rodgers went missing on December 6 during a trip to Las Vegas, reportedly getting into a car with her friend Harnden, who is 19 years old.

The Las Vegas Police have released details of the allegations against the couple in a statement.

Throughout the investigation, it was discovered that on December 5, 2023, Rodgers was out with friends and had a pre-arranged meeting with her friend Sakari Harnden (19), who intended to bring her boyfriend, Chance Comanche (27), according to the statement.

Following this meeting, Rodgers was not seen or heard from. Early in the investigation, detectives suspected foul play and gathered evidence leading to the arrest of Harnden and her boyfriend, Comanche, for their involvement in the kidnapping and disappearance of Rodgers.

On December 13, 2023, Harnden was apprehended in Las Vegas by the Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) and subsequently booked into the Clark County Detention Centre on kidnapping charges.

The G-League Player Is Now Charged With Open Murder

On December 15, 2023, California FBI Criminal Apprehension Team members arrested Comanche in Sacramento, California. He is currently awaiting extradition to Nevada on kidnapping charges.

Following the arrests of Harnden and Comanche, new information enabled detectives to locate human remains in a desert area in Henderson, Nevada. Subsequently, the Clark County Coroner identified the remains as those of Marayna Rodgers.

Detectives have concluded that Harnden and Comanche are accountable for Rodgers’ murder. The charges against both individuals will be revised to open murder in coordination with the Clark County District Attorney’s office.

It is noteworthy that Comanche participated in a G-League game in Henderson, Nevada, just 15 miles from Las Vegas, the night before Rodgers was last seen and reported missing. Despite playing one NBA game for the Portland Trailblazers, he was released from the Stockton Kings, a developmental affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, shortly after his arrest.

The Post has contacted the Kings organization and the NBA for comments.

Harnden, who was arrested in Las Vegas on December 13, remains booked into the downtown Las Vegas Jail, facing a first-degree kidnapping charge, as reported by KLAS, citing court records.
